Vietnam again voted world's best river cruise destination

Vietnam has secured the title of World's Best River Cruise Destination for the third consecutive time at the World Cruise Awards. The award was announced in October at the sixth annual ceremony held in Jamaica. Vietnam holds more wins in this category than any other country since it was introduced in 2021.

The award was determined through votes from industry professionals and members of the public. Vietnam's competition included Portugal, Peru, Botswana, and Montreal in Canada. Previous winners in the category have included Peru, Botswana, and Austria.

Vietnam's river cruise experiences showcase the country's diverse waterway landscapes. The Mekong Delta in the south features palm-lined riverbanks where passengers can visit local markets, taste tropical fruits, and explore rice fields. The Hau and Can Tho rivers offer overnight journeys with sunrise views and dining on the water before passengers return to their cabins.

In northern Vietnam, river cruises connect Ha Long Bay with Hanoi and inland waterways, offering routes that pass through places like the ancient village of Duong Lam and traditional craft communities. These itineraries provide travelers an alternative perspective on destinations typically accessed by road. Ha Long Cruise Port was also recognized this year as Asia's Best Cruise Terminal.

For travelers interested in experiencing Vietnam's rivers and communities, these repeated accolades suggest comprehensive cruise offerings that combine scenic beauty with authentic cultural encounters across different regions of the country.
