More than 71,800 visitors from Western European countries traveled to Azerbaijan between January and August 2026, a 6.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to the State Tourism Agency.
In August 2026 alone, approximately 11,200 Western European visitors arrived in Azerbaijan, representing a 2.6% rise from August 2025 and a 2.8% increase from July 2026.
Germany accounted for the largest number of Western European visitors in August, followed by the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain.
For travelers, this trend indicates growing interest in Azerbaijan as a destination from Western Europe, potentially leading to more flight options and tourism services.
