Da Nang, a central Vietnamese city, has been named the sole Southeast Asian entry in Skyscanner's trending destinations list for 2027. It ranks seventh among 10 global destinations, with flight searches increasing by 68% year-on-year, according to the travel search platform's U.K. report.
Skyscanner highlighted Da Nang's diverse offerings, including swimming at My Khe Beach, visiting the Golden Bridge, and enjoying seafood dinners. The list focuses on places gaining attention as travelers look beyond familiar holiday spots.
The rankings are based on rising flight searches between January 1 and June 17, 2026, compared with the same period in 2025, reflecting growing interest rather than confirmed bookings. Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, topped the list with a 501% increase, followed by Hurghada, Egypt, and Malmö, Sweden.
For travelers, this trend indicates increasing global interest in Da Nang, which may lead to more flight options and competitive pricing as demand grows.
