Chinese companies plan to build new production facilities in Kazakhstan, including a plant for humanoid and educational robots in Almaty, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. In the automotive sector, further localisation of Chinese brand production in Kazakhstan is planned. Additionally, the republic will start domestic production of anti-cancer medicines in partnership with two Chinese firms. Both countries also expressed interest in developing a joint coal chemical project and improving logistics infrastructure.
The forum, held in Almaty, attracted over 600 delegates, including representatives from more than 200 Chinese companies. Around 50 commercial documents were exchanged, with deals worth over US$8.2 billion. The focus was on digital infrastructure, specialist training, and technological research.
