The European Travel Commission, European Cultural Tourism Network, Europa Nostra and NECSTouR jointly revealed the recipients of the Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism Awards for 2026. The award ceremony took place in Skiathos on 24 September, bringing together tourism stakeholders to recognize excellence in the field.
The selection process evaluated 72 entries submitted from across Europe, with winners chosen across six distinct categories. The awards aim to highlight destinations that successfully balance cultural heritage preservation with sustainable tourism practices.
